Support for Parents

At The Grove, we understand that parenting can come with challenges, and sometimes families may need support beyond what the school can offer. We work closely with a range of external agencies and services that provide guidance, counselling, financial support, and help with family wellbeing. If you feel you could benefit from additional support, please speak to a member of our senior leadership team or contact the school office for signposting to trusted services.

What can we do in school:

  • Click here for our dedicated Mental Health and Wellbeing webpage
  • Click here for our dedicated Emotional Literacy webpage
  • If your child is struggling with home learning, teachers run a weekly home-learning club to provide support
  • If your child has SEND, attend a coffee morning with the Inclusion Manager, Mrs Begum
  • We run parent workshops on various topics such as emotional literacy and online safety
  • We can make referrals to foodbanks for families who are struggling financially
  • We can support families with secondary school applications
  • We can support families with James Marshall Foundation applications
  • We can also signpost to other helpful agencies (see list below)
