Emotional Literacy
In 2025 we launched our whole school focus on the importance of Emotional Literacy. As a building block of emotional intelligence, emotional literacy aims to give children the tools to identify, label and manage their own emotions. It also helps them to ‘read’ the emotions of others. As a school, we want our children to gradually learn these lifelong skills so that they can leave The Grove Junior School well prepared for their next step of education.

If you would like to discuss this further, in relation to your own child/children, please reach out to the school office and ask for a meeting with Miss Bunce, Deputy Head.
