Volunteers

We warmly welcome parents and carers to get involved in school life by supporting a range of activities such as reading, art, sports, cooking, and other enriching extracurricular experiences. Many of these opportunities simply wouldn’t be possible without the generous help of volunteers.

To ensure the safety of our pupils, all parent/carer volunteers are required to complete the online DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) process. For guidance on how to do this, please contact the school office.

Ways to Get Involved:

  • Swimming Support (Year 4): Volunteers accompany pupils on the walk to swimming lessons every Thursday throughout the school year.
  • Reading Support: One-to-one reading sessions with pupils take place daily from 9:00 to 9:30am.
  • Gardening: We would love help from any parents that have a green thumb! Our school grounds have many areas where a bit of care is needed that staff do not always have time for. Children love to join our gardening volunteers to help out too.
  • Topic Days: Special themed days, such as Egyptian Day in Year 3, often include arts and crafts activities where extra help is greatly appreciated.
  • Transport Assistance: Help with transporting children to extracurricular events like tag rugby tournaments is always valued.
